Summer Internship Program
Our Summer Internship Program is designed for law students who excel academically and have a keen interest in maritime law. Over an 8–10 week period, you’ll gain hands‑on experience at one of Turkiye’s leading shipping law firms.
What You’ll Do
- Shadow partners and associates across multiple practice areas (Shipping, Insurance, Dispute Resolution, etc.)
- Assist on real client matters: legal research, drafting memoranda and contracts
- Attend client meetings, court hearings and internal strategy sessions
- Participate in firm‑wide training and social events
Who Should Apply
- Enrolled in an accredited law faculty (minimum 2nd year)
- Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in maritime/commercial law
- Excellent analytical, writing and teamwork skills

Graduate Internship Program
The Graduate Internship Program helps new law graduates bridge the gap between academia and professional practice. Over a minimum 12‑month full‑time engagement (or part‑time by arrangement), you’ll be treated as a valued member of our team from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Lead small research projects and draft legal opinions for client files
- Support transactional work: due diligence, contract review and negotiation
- Assist on dispute resolution matters in court and arbitration settings
- Contribute to articles, client alerts and internal knowledge‑sharing initiatives
Who Should Apply
- Recent law graduates from a YÖK‑accredited Turkish or international university
- Strong academic background and a genuine commitment to maritime law
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

Experienced Lawyers
Our Experienced Lawyers Program is designed for qualified legal professionals who are ready to contribute to complex, cross-border and high-value matters in maritime, insurance, commercial and dispute resolution practice areas. At Çavuş & Coşkunsu Law Firm, experienced lawyers are expected to take an active role in client work, strategic case management and the continued development of the firm’s specialist practice.
What You’ll Do
- Handle and support complex legal matters across Shipping, Marine Insurance, Dispute Resolution, Commercial Law and related practice areas
- Conduct advanced legal research and prepare legal opinions, pleadings, contracts, memoranda and client reports
- Work directly with partners, associates, clients, insurers, shipowners, P&I Clubs and other industry stakeholders
- Attend client meetings, negotiations, court hearings, arbitration proceedings and strategy sessions
- Contribute to case strategy, risk assessment and matter management
- Support junior lawyers and interns through guidance, supervision and knowledge sharing
- Participate in the firm’s business development, legal updates and professional training activities
Who Should Apply
- Qualified lawyers admitted to a bar association
- Minimum 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in maritime law, insurance law, commercial litigation, arbitration or corporate/commercial matters
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Excellent drafting, analytical thinking, case management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team-oriented legal environment
- A strong sense of professional responsibility, attention to detail and client-focused service
